Feds investigate the Puerto Rico Department of Education

Agents from the Office of the Inspector General of the federal Department of Education, arrived this Wednesday morning at the offices of the Department of Education to fill out a request for information.
The agency's secretary, Eliezer Ramos Parés, met with the officials. Although Ramos Parés could not provide details of the intervention, he confirmed that it is an ongoing investigation.
"Any act that is outside the laws, rules and regulations will not be tolerated. In time they will have all the details. The instructions we have given are fully collaborative. The processes in the Department are working and they are lifting flags. I can tell you that I fully trust these investigations that are being carried out," said the secretary of the agency.
"On our part, they are going to have full collaboration. We are going to get to the last consequences and Puerto Rico is going to know the result of that investigation," he added.
