The first test of the 2025 final exam will take place on the third Wednesday of June starting at 8:30 in all Italian high schools. The topics are common to all study paths and are seven in total , divided into three different types of tasks : two text analysis, three argumentative text topics and two current affairs topics.

The first written test is the one that students consider the easiest among the exam tests, but it often hides pitfalls: the risk of going off topic is very high, and the essay is undoubtedly a more subjective essay than a technical text. It is very important not to underestimate the first written test because it weighs on the exam grade as much as the others.

In this guide we explain how to complete the first test questions for the 2025 final exam and aim for a good grade. Before reading our guide, we recommend that you take a look at the possible questions that could be released in the first test this year .
