Results of the annual High School Certificate (HSC) examination conducted by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE) will be declared by the second week of May, BSE president Srikant Tarai announced on Monday.
"The evaluation process is on the verge of completion, following which the tabulation process will start," Tarai said. He highlighted the use of advanced technology, including artificial intelligence, QR codes, and watermarking, to ensure a fair and transparent examination process. Tarai added, "Unlike in previous years, the exam was conducted without any allegations of question paper leaks. The timely release of the results will make the entire effort successful."
Addressing concerns over a discrepancy in the science paper, where students who received Set-C were given a paper totalling 96 marks instead of 100, Tarai assured students and parents that the board would take appropriate action.
The Class X board examination was conducted from Feb 21 to March 6 across 3,133 examination centres in the state. Evaluation of answer sheets began on March 19. Over 5.1 lakh students appeared for the exam this year. "All students will receive their marksheets and matriculation certificates on the same day as the result declaration, making the entire process hassle-free," Tarai said.
