From Wednesday, December 4, to Friday, January 17, 2025, the Colombian Institute for the Evaluation of Education - Icfes, opened the registration process for the Saber 11 calendar B, Pre Saber, and Validation of Academic Baccalaureate tests, which will be carried out at the application site on Sunday, March 23, 2025, under the pencil and paper modality.
"The importance of formative evaluation is essential because it will allow us to contribute more to the development of skills. Through these State tests, we seek to provide the country with information about student performance in key areas and the factors that may influence the development of their learning," said the general director, Elizabeth Blandón Bermúdez, who reiterated to educational institutions and principals the importance of carrying out the registration process for their students on time, so that it does not affect their transition to higher education.
The ordinary registration and collection process for the presentation of the three tests will be enabled until January 17, 2025. The extraordinary registration and collection will go from January 21 to 31. The publication of summons will be made on March 7 of next year. The Icfes reminds educational institutions and individual students to carry out the registration and payment process in a timely manner, before January 11, 2024, in order to avoid additional costs.
The Saber 11 test is aimed not only at students who are about to finish their eleventh grade in educational establishments or validation institutes, but also at those who wish to improve their score or who have not yet taken this exam.
In the case of the test for validators, people who are not enrolled in an educational institution and who want to obtain their high school degree can register, as long as they have turned 18 years old by the date of the exam. This test can also be taken by foreign citizens who are in Colombian territory and who wish to obtain their high school diploma.
Likewise, the Icfes offers the Pre Saber exam to all those who want to familiarize themselves with the structure and conditions of the Saber 11 application.
For greater ease and security, the payment for the three exams can be done online, through the PSE payment button. However, it can also be done in person at Davivienda bank branches and at banking correspondents authorized by this financial institution.
All queries related to registrations, appointments and results can be made through the icfes.gov.co portal. The publication date of the individual results of the Saber 11 Calendar B test will be Friday, May 23, 2025, and the publication date of the Pre Saber and Validating results will be Friday, May 30, 2025.
