September 26, 2024

Original Article:

The National Examinations Board (NEB) on Friday published the results of grade 12 final examinations.

According to the NEB, a total of 203,847 (52.16 percent) students managed to secure a Grade Point Average (GPA) above 1.61, which is necessary to study at a higher level.

Among 385,236 students who appeared in the grade 12 final tests, 187,021 students—47.84 percent—have been categorised as non-graded. Out of 390,868 students filling out examination forms, 5,632 did not show up.

The results show that the highest number of students have been categorised as non-graded in English. Most students have failed to secure grades in accounts and social studies after English.

While 72 percent of students passed in English, 102,206 students have been categorised as non-graded.

As per the results, 127,707 examinees, who received a non-grade in up to two subjects, will be allowed to take supplementary examinations on September 10 and 11.
