It was decided to cancel the physical education test (sports bac) for candidates for the 2021 baccalaureate after an assessment of the general situation by the departments of the ministries of education and those of youth, sports and professional integration, said Omar Ouelbani, director general of examinations at the Ministry of Education, on Thursday.
This evaluation revealed the impossibility of completing the physical education program in many public and private high schools before the date of the sports baccalaureate test, initially scheduled for April 12, Ouelbani added.

The annual average in physical education will be taken into consideration as the final average in the baccalaureate, he added.

The number of candidates for the 2021 baccalaureate session is estimated at more than 145,500 candidates, noted Ouelbani, noting that this number is considered to be the highest number of candidates in Tunisia after that of 2008, during which 156,000 candidates were registered, he said in particular.
