Transfer & Articulation Community of Practice Forum

September 26, 2025

September 26, 2025 | 3:00-4:00 pm ET
With increased student mobility comes a greater demand for our community to come together to support each other in the often complex and varied world of transfer. In response to this demand, ̽»¨Â¥'s Transfer & Articulation committee is hosting an open community of practice call where any member of the ̽»¨Â¥ community can engage to discuss current issues or trends related to transfer credit, PLA, or articulation.

This is an open call to participate, whether you are new to transfer credit or a seasoned veteran. We welcome anyone interested in this topic area to help provide answers to questions membership has on their minds or discuss hot topics that are impacting our campuses today.

September Session

Session Title: Transfer Credit Evaluation Practices: Insights from a Summer 2025 National Survey

Description: Ever wondered if you're the only one wrestling with a mountain of transfer credits? You're not alone! Come get the inside scoop on how other colleges and universities are tackling this challenge.

This Community of Practice will be focused on the findings of a survey which was conducted by Dr. Cheryl Fisk in Summer of 2025.  Twenty-four institutions, from big-name universities to small liberal arts schools, were surveyed to find out what's really happening in the world of transfer credit evaluation.Topics include:

  • Who does the work? (Staffing models)
  • How fast is "fast"? (Turnaround times)
  • What are they using? (Software and systems)
  • And what keeps them up at night? (Biggest challenges)

There will also be time for the participants to ask questions and share their insights on this very important and relevant topic.

Presenter: Cheryl Fisk, EdD, Bethel University Registrar

Note that this is a recurring meeting. It is normally held at 3 PM ET on the last Friday of every other month.
