Tom Green has a higher education career that spans nearly 40 years.  During the first 20 years, he established a track record of enrollment successes by raising overall enrollments at undergraduate and graduate levels, increasing student quality, broadening the geographic and demographic backgrounds of the student body, raising net revenue, and streamlining processes and services across administrative areas.  As Strategic Enrollment Management (SEM) grew to focus on student success, his scope of responsibility and their related student outcomes, increased.  Dr. Green worked in executive roles in a variety of institutional settings, from small, private institutions to large, public ones.  In 2006, Dr. Green joined ̽»¨Â¥ Consulting and has helped scores of institutions address their most pressing enrollment and student success issues.

In 2022, Salesforce recruited Tom to serve as their Director of Strategic Enrollment Management.  In this new role, helped colleges and universities understand how to align their strategic initiatives with technologies that can support and accelerate them.  He also helped the company and its higher education division understand the needs and issues of higher education leaders and institutions, and the applications of predictive, generative, and autonomous artificial intelligence (AI) in higher education.

Dr. Green’s contributions to the field of enrollment management include designing and leading workshops for enrollment professionals.  Thousands of practitioners have learned financial aid analysis techniques, enrollment communication planning, integrated marketing, and strategic enrollment management from his workshops.  He is also the author of numerous articles and book chapters on enrollment management.  For eight years, he served as editor in chief of SEM Quarterly, a peer-reviewed research journal.  Dr. Green served as a faculty member in the graduate education school at Drexel University and is a frequent guest lecturer in other programs.  He is a popular session and keynote speaker at national and international enrollment management conferences.  He serves on the Board of Trustees and Chair of its Enrollment Management and Student Success Committee at Felician University in New Jersey.

Dr. Green holds a bachelor’s degree from the University of Iowa and master’s degree from the American Conservatory of Music, where he later began his higher education career as a faculty member.  He holds a Ph.D. from Seton Hall University in Education Leadership, Management and Policy.
