The 2017–18 Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) season will begin earlier than previous FAFSA application cycles

Beginning on Oct. 1, 2016, students will be able to fill out the FAFSA for the 2017–18 school year. (In the past, they had to wait until January 1). In addition, applicants will no longer need to estimate income and tax information and will be able to retrieve their data directly from the IRS, right from the first day the FAFSA is available. Students also will have information about their Expected Family Contributions earlier, helping them as they’re going through the college application and selection process.

According to the State of Digital Credentials in the ̽»¨Â¥ community report based on results from our June 2023 survey, most members and their institutions perceive learning mobility as a high priority.  The community also expressed confusion and frustration around the technologies that are powering the future of learning mobility, such as CLRs, LERs, and digital wallets. This webinar, featuring experts from trusted technology vendors and ̽»¨Â¥, seeks to demystify by sharing what these things are, what each is not, how they differ from one another, and the essential information that Registrars need to know in order to be leaders in supporting our campus efforts. There will also be time for participant Q&A.
