fafsa calendar information

Beginning on Oct. 1, 2016, students will be able to fill out the FAFSA for the 2017–18 school year. (In the past, they had to wait until January 1). In addition, applicants will no longer need to estimate income and tax information and will be able to retrieve their data directly from the IRS, right from the first day the FAFSA is available. Students also will have information about their Expected Family Contributions earlier, helping them as they’re going through the college application and selection process.

Beyond the Transcript: CLR Innovation

September 23, 2025

September 23, 2025 | 1:00 PM - 1:45 PM ET

As higher education recognizes the value of skills-based learning and lifelong credentialing, traditional transcripts are no longer enough. Join CourseLeaf for a deep dive into their work on Comprehensive Learner Records (CLRs).

This session will explore how CLRs:

  • Help students see and showcase the specific skills they’ve gained in each course
  • Enhance existing initiatives in assessment and curriculum design
  • Integrate with existing systems like SIS, LMS, and curriculum platforms
