Beginning on Oct. 1, 2016, students will be able to fill out the FAFSA for the 2017–18 school year. (In the past, they had to wait until January 1). In addition, applicants will no longer need to estimate income and tax information and will be able to retrieve their data directly from the IRS, right from the first day the FAFSA is available. The Power of CLRs: Turning Student Achievements into Opportunities

September 23, 2025

September 23, 2025 | 3:00 PM - 3:45 PM ET

As higher education leaders look for ways to showcase the full breadth of student learning, Comprehensive Learner Records (CLRs) are moving from theory to practice. But how do institutions take the leap from exploring the concept to launching a record that makes a real impact?

In this session, the Parchment team at Instructure will demonstrate how CLRs empower learners to highlight achievements beyond the GPA, help institutions align credentials to workforce needs, and provide practical steps for making CLRs a reality on your campus. You’ll see the Parchment CLR in action, learn how peers are approaching implementation, and gain insights into how your institution can begin the journey.

Join us and you'll discover:

  • Why CLRs are becoming a critical tool for connecting academic and co-curricular learning to career readiness.
  • How institutions are successfully designing and implementing CLRs with Parchment’s support.
  • What the CLR experience looks like for learners — and how it empowers them to share skills and achievements with employers.
