Becoming a Fellow of the International Education Standards Council provides a unique opportunity to deepen your knowledge, expand your professional network, and contribute to the field of international credential evaluation. The ̽»¨Â¥ IESC is a volunteer assembly of experienced professionals in international admissions and credential evaluations. Fellows will gain valuable insights and learn best practices from these professionals, who possess decades of experience. The IESC Fellowship program offers hands-on experience in conducting research, engaging in deep discussions, and presenting findings to the broader community.
"The IESC Fellow concept allows ̽»¨Â¥ to continue providing invaluable professional development opportunities for those interested in international education research," said Robert Watkins, Assistant Director of Admissions at The University of Texas at Austin. "It's a chance to learn from experts, gain insights into the deliberative process, and increase your knowledge and skill sets."
The 2024-2025 IESC Fellows, Sara Ahmad and Jacqueline Best, will host a webinar to present their findings on Joint and Dual Degrees on November 18, 2025, from 2-3 p.m. ET.
For the 2025-2026 academic year, the IESC fellows will focus on the following topic: AI and International Admissions. The 2025-2026 IESC Fellowship will last no longer than one year, with two Fellows selected for this application year.
As an IESC Fellow, you will have the opportunity to:
Responsibilities:
Work on an assigned research project and produce a white paper in collaboration with experts.
Present your research findings and conclusions at the ̽»¨Â¥ Annual Meeting.
Serve as a non-voting member and participant-observer of the IESC, joining bi-weekly calls.
Potentially serve on the International Publications Advisory Committee.
Ideal Applicants Will:
Be fairly new to the field and looking to grow professionally.
Be employed by an ̽»¨Â¥ member institution.
Have less than five years of international credential evaluation experience.
