100 Years of C&U

̽»¨Â¥ is thrilled to celebrate 100 years of College & University, our esteemed journal dedicated to advancing the fields of admissions, enrollment, and higher education administration. Since 1925, C&U has been a trusted resource, offering research, insights, and practical guidance to help higher education professionals navigate the evolving landscape. As we reflect on a century of thought leadership, we’re excited to honor the journal’s impact, explore its rich history, and look toward the future with new ideas, perspectives, and voices that keep C&U at the forefront of higher education.

To commemorate this milestone, we launched an ambitious project to recruit 100 writers in 100 days for C&U in 2025. We're proud to announce that we reached our goal of 100 writers in well under 100 days.

This initiative brings professionals from all corners of higher education to contribute their expertise, ideas, and experiences to the journal. Whether you’re an experienced author or a first-time writer, we welcome your voice. Together, we are creating a vibrant, diverse collection of articles that captures the challenges, triumphs, and transformations within higher education today, ensuring that College & University continues to be an essential resource for the next century.

Jeff von Munkwitz-Smith introduces archived pieces with reflections with a reprint from a 1926 edition of the Bulletin of the American Association of Collegiate Registrars (the precursor to College & University), “The Registrar: A Profession,” by Lotus Delta Coffman, then President of the University of Minnesota. Munkwitz-Smith writes a reflection on this archived piece in the same issue.

  52. C&U celebrates 100th anniversary with a special tagline: “"A Century of Sharing Knowledge & Best Practices."
  53. ̽»¨Â¥ formally acknowledges/celebrates the 100th Volume of C&U at the Annual Meeting in Seattle.
  54. C&U embarks on bold plan to recruit 100 new authors in honor of its 100th Anniversary.
