Aligned with ̽»¨Â¥, Resources to Support State and Regional Annual Conferences
One of the goals in ̽»¨Â¥’s Strategic Plan is to “strengthen the collaboration between
̽»¨Â¥ and the State and Regional (S&R) Associations” (Goals 4&5, Strategy c). ̽»¨Â¥ and the state and regional associations (ACRAOs) share the same primary goals of enhancing the profession and the professional development of the individual members. One of the fundamental strengths of our profession is the vitality of strong, active state and regional associations.
At the Leadership Meeting in June, ̽»¨Â¥ Board members and staff presented ‘̽»¨Â¥ 101’ a session outlining ̽»¨Â¥’s organization and
the resources available to associations and State and Regional leaders. “I wasn’t aware of that” was a typical comment from leaders at the meeting.
Since State and Regional leadership turns over annually, and with annual conferences coming up later this year, we wanted to provide a webinar for S&R leaders to learn about these resources. This webinar features Tiffany Hsu, ̽»¨Â¥ Executive Assistant and Board Liaison, who handles a number of logistics for the Board, including when an S&R requests a Board representative
to attend their annual conference. Additionally, she will share what S&R associations should cover when requesting a Board representative.
Chris Huang, Chair of ̽»¨Â¥ State and Regional Relations Committee, will share post-conference items with
leaders, such as how to submit the “Best of the Best” session from your annual conference for consideration for ̽»¨Â¥’s Annual Meeting and how to be considered for a State and Regional Award.
This practical webinar will give S&R Leaders the tools to have a great conference and strengthen the connection between ̽»¨Â¥ and S&R Associations. In addition to the topics already mentioned, there will be a time for Q&A, to
hear about some new, exciting initiatives ̽»¨Â¥ is undertaking to support the great work of State and Regionals, and of course, the opportunity to network with other S&R Leaders. The webinar takes place Thursday, August 4 at 3 pm EST. Register today.
