How to Participate in Twitter Chats
Twitter chats are a great way to network and connect with other professionals in your industry. If this is your first time joining a Twitter chat, here are some simple steps to get started:
- , if you do not have one already.
- Connect your Twitter account to online tools, such as and , to follow the live stream and contribute to the discussion.
- Follow the Twitter chat moderator(s). For the month of October, will be moderating #EMChat discussions.
- At the start of the Twitter chat, introduce yourself! Be sure to include the Twitter chat hashtag (#EMChat) to include your tweet in the chat.
- Check the Twitter chat moderator’s account for questions. Each question will be prefaced with Q1, Q2, Q3 and so forth.
- To directly answer the questions, start your tweet with an “A” and a number to indicate which question you are answering. Don’t forget to use the chat hashtag!
- Further contribute to the conversation by replying and retweeting other answers and comments in the Twitter chat.
