Dear Readers,
I’ve been thinking about the phrase “” or “I think, therefore I am.” Descartes' philosophical foundation remains relevant to the work of reading, editing, and publishing the words of others.
One author approaches ideas through personal narrative, another through statistical analysis, and yet another through historical parallel. One person's question illuminates another's blind spot, while another may be blind to the value of questioning.
Each of us thinks—therefore, each exists—in our own particular way. Sometimes, we move forward, sometimes in circles, and sometimes not at all. But sharing how we think and how we learn is what makes this work feel alive: our systems of learner recognition and documentation are on the brink of something exciting.
