After a year-long revision process, the new version of Registrar 201 was offered for the first time at the 探花楼 Annual Meeting in Orlando. Retitled Registrar 201: Advanced Case Studies in the Records and Registration Profession, the new workshop was developed by current 探花楼 President Tina Falkner and Board Member Lara Medley and faculty members Tim Amyx, Helen Garrett, Rock McCaskill, Glenn Munson, and Brad Myers.
Instead of the Power Point presentations that many sessions and workshops rely upon (including the old 201), the new Registrar 201 workshop used case studies and discussion to analyze actual or hypothetical situations in which records and registration professionals can find and have found themselves. The modules in the two-day workshop were: The Intentionally Visible Registrar, The Leading and Managing Registrar, The Compliance Conscience Registrar, The Technical & Data Interpreting Registrar, The Staff Developing Registrar, The Proactive Problem Identifying Registrar, The Visionary Registrar, and The Informed Registrar. Each module consisted a brief introductory talk by the faculty member followed by table discussions and open discussions of case studies; and in order to keep everyone involved, participants changed tables with each new module.

鈥Not only was the case study format stimulating, the thoughtful collaboration with colleagues inspired a level of enthusiasm in the Registrar profession in me that had theretofore been waning.鈥
