̽»¨Â¥ membership includes many ways to get involved with the organization and contribute to the organization’s vision to “...[be]a leading voice in higher education…[and envision] a community centered on learner success driven by professional excellence and leadership in enrollment and academic services.”

The various volunteering opportunities with ̽»¨Â¥ contribute to members' professional development, position them as thought leaders, and help grow their professional networks with peer higher education professionals from across the country and world. It is the diverse experience of the ̽»¨Â¥ community that drives and directly contributes to the organization’s success.

As it is a transformational time for higher education and for ̽»¨Â¥, ̽»¨Â¥’s strategic plan includes a focus to reimagine engagement and community. Pursuant to this focus, the organization is evolving volunteer processes and working to increase the reach and awareness of volunteer opportunities. Accordingly, the opportunity to serve as the Group VII coordinator with the Program Committee was recently posted for interested members to apply.

The Group VII Coordinator is an integral member of the program committee and is charged with reviewing comprehensive content to bring forward workshop and special topic programming to amplify ̽»¨Â¥'s professional development opportunities in conjunction with the annual meeting. Dan Weber, who currently serves as the Group VII coordinator, shares:

Serving as the Group VII Coordinator has been a great experience to get more involved with ̽»¨Â¥, specifically with the Annual Meeting Program Committee. The role has allowed me to work closely with the other Program Committee group coordinators, select ̽»¨Â¥ staff and ̽»¨Â¥ members to bring pre-conference workshops and special sessions to the ̽»¨Â¥ membership at the Annual Meeting.

̽»¨Â¥ encourages interested members to apply for this volunteer position to commence in conjunction with the 2023 Annual Meeting being held in Aurora, Colorado. All ̽»¨Â¥ members are eligible to serve as a group coordinator, with Past ̽»¨Â¥ and/or State & Regional ACRAO volunteer experience being preferred. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis with a preferred application deadline of Friday, March 10.

In other volunteer news: The ̽»¨Â¥ Board Finance, Investments, and Audit Committee (FI&A) is currently seeking a volunteer to serve in the role of Member-at-Large. Active voting members of ̽»¨Â¥ are encouraged to apply by April 21, 2023.
