This is a closed session for Cultivating Native Student Success TCU staff.

This interactive half-day preconference will serve as a knowledge exchange for tribal college and university (TCU) admissions, registrars and enrollment managers. As a community of practice in the American Indian College Fund Cultivating Native Student Success initiative, participants will engage in professional learning and practices specific to TCU institutional SEM planning grounded in their cultural values and missions. The group will also discuss Native student and TCU enrollment data to drive efforts at their respective colleges and discuss SEM committee engagement and participation.

This session provides an opportunity for TCU and HBCU staff participants to discuss the current landscape pertaining to federal funding and financial aid, and how this affects enrollment. Through facilitated activities, attendees will actively engage about their successes, challenges, stories and experiences regarding the unique experiences students encounter at their respective institutions.

From undergraduate admissions to graduate admissions, this workshop will present strategies for success in international admissions and teach you the basics of international credential evaluation methodology, including educational system models and benchmarks, researching the status of foreign institutions, working with foreign academic records, the use of official and reliable resources, fraud awareness, approaches to applying institution policies to make admissions decisions and applicable transfer credit. The workshop is intended for colleagues who are new to international admissions or would like a refresher in this area, and the material discussed will be applicable to both undergraduate and graduate admissions environments.
